Silver Trees
This art quilt features piecing, stencilling and hand painting. It is free motion quilted and embellished with natural shell buttons along the left edge. The fabrics are hand dyed as well as cotton that has been marbled. Silver Trees records an amazing sunset seen in Vancouver, Canada some years ago. The silver trees lined the driveway to a friend's house where we were staying - illuminated in the evening they shone silver into the night. The quilt measures 1 metre square - that's 39 inches wide and high. It has a fabric sleeve to enable hanging with a dowel or rod.
