This is an acrylic painting of my husband and I surrounded by significant objects in our home. It was inspired by one of my favourite Jan Van Eyck paintings - The Arnolfini Portrait painted in the 15th Century and held in the National Gallery in London. My painting is huge - the biggest canvas I’ve ever tackled at 5’ x 4’. Took me months to complete and now occupies the only blank wall in our house big enough to hang it!
