This series of work was generated from ideas which came about during the final months of my degree course. I was interested in the way the effects of light altered the appearance of static objects during the space of one day. Initially the series contained eight separate units (now seven) which hang together to tell the story.

Each are worked onto a base of 100% wool with combinations of paint, plaster and lime. Additions of some cotton fabric and in some cases dense hand stitching were punctuated by the use of large blackthorns stripped from the hedges where I live.
