DesignMatters Linda Kemshall

The hand dyed fabrics we offer are expertly hand dyed by Laura Kemshall. She uses quality mercerised cotton poplin fabric with a smooth surface and close weave. Ideal for piecing, applique or as the basis for embroidery or a painterly background to which you'll add other surface decoration processes.

As with the co-ordinating threads, the hand dyeing process means that when it comes to colour there are no limits! Describing colour is tricky, if not impossible. To remove the guess work when ordering we have photographed every available collection. The fabrics you see in the images below are the actual ones you will receive.*

Fabrics are available in collections of 'fat quarters' (approx 50cm x 50cm each), half metres or metres (approx 60" wide).
